Word of Mouth advertising

To begin with, I put flyers in places where they would be seen by many people, such as the local hair salon. I thought that would be a good start. Next, I sent out flyers, with discount coupons to any people I had worked on at the spa where I was employed. This is when I decided to open my own small business.
Of course, neighbors, friends and relatives also booked appointments with me when I began. I also went through local neighborhoods and put flyers in people's mailboxes.
What happens is word of mouth then takes over and I think that is the key way to acquire new customers.
