UK massage startup costs!

My costs were relatively cheap to start up a massage business, I completed a year long course in Swedish Body massage which cost around £180.00, My massage insurance here in the UK is only around £35.00 per year, however I splashed out on a rather deluxe massage table at £300.00 as I figured that the more money I spent in this area the more professional I would appear and so that I knew I was getting value for money and my table wouldn't break after a few months of use! After all a Broken table means no work!

I kept my costs down at first by working from home or going mobile and visiting the clients in their homes, after a while once I had built up a regular client base I began to rent a room one day a week at a local beauty Salon the room costs £50.00 to rent and I can make more than 4 times that with the clients I see in one afternoon! All in all the UK is a fairly great place to start and more importantly maintain a massage business!
