The cost of starting up

by Jane
(Mansfield, MA)

I feel that the costs associated with getting into massage were minimal. I added my tuition, made an estimate of what I spent on gasoline and toll fees, my table (Oakworks $500) appropriate clothing, such as t-shirts with a massage logo, some books, oils, etc..and I feel that I spent about $11,000.

That's not a bad investment when you can then go to doing treatments for $50, $60, $70 per hour, depending on geographical location and era. (I became a MT during the 1990s.)

massage therapy school in canada
by: Anonymous

in canada the regimented number of hours you need to achieve to practice *anywhere* in this country is 2200. massage therapy school isn't cheap- it's 20 000 bucks canadian for two years. i'm not sure what causes the unbelievable difference in hours and cost but ... it's a big gap!
