Spend to Earn
by V Hesketh
(UK)
When deciding to become a masseuse I had to think hard about what the set up costs would be. As a single parent I had to make sure the initial costs wouldn’t leave my family short of money. I was able to study part time, and my total fees where almost three thousand dollars. When you add equipment and consumables into the equation the price does rise, but you have to think ahead.
I knew once qualified I would have the potential to earn much more than I ever spent during training. I advertised in local news sheets once qualified and also worked part time in a local beauty salon. Becoming a masseuse was the best thing I ever did, I am able to pick and choose where and when I work, if evening work suits my family timetable better I book only evening jobs, I can decide if I want weekends free to be with my children.
I also offer house parties, where four or five friends get together for a social evening with each one of them having a thirty minute massage as part of the evening, many of them become repeat clients. If your willing to put the work in while training your efforts will definitely be rewarded.
