Setting the Massage Price
by Blaine
(Portland)
I calculate all of my fixed expenses (rent & utilities for home and office, food budget, etc.), and then work out how much income I need per month. Then I determine how many clients I can see in a day, and divide (number of workdays /month *clients per day) by the needed monthly income, and there's my base price. Of course you need to make sure that your expectations are reasonable. Ultimately it is the market that determines price. You don't want to go too high and have no clients.
