Re-certification necessary for license renewal?

I will need to change my business location and apply for another license. If my certification is also up for renewal, is this necessary to obtain the license? Or will the original passing of the NCBTMB exam and the fact that I already have been issued a license be acceptable to obtaining the new license in a new city?
