Reviews of Pennsylvania Massage Schools

How do find the best Pennsylvania massage schools? You need to rely on word of mouth. Find out about PA massage schools from the people who actually have attended them. For a candid view on schools, check out what our readers are saying about the top massage therapy schools in Pennsylvania.

If you are considering attending a massage therapy school in Pennsylvania and starting a new massage career, you are going to need to find a good accredited massage school. Fortunately, you have several quality massage schools to choose from.

Choosing the Best Massage Schools in Pennsylvania?

It can be overwhelming when you are faced with choosing from dozens of massage therapy schools. But if you follow these simple steps, the process can be a lot more manageable.

1) Start by reviewing all the listing below. Click on the links and read the profiles of each school. Review the comments and ratings left by other students.

2) For schools that interest you, follow the links to request more information about their program. They will contact you with detailed information about their program.

3) Review the information they send and narrow your list of schools down to a short list of 3 to 5 schools.

4) Contact each school directly and make an appoint to visit with the admissions staff. They should give you a tour of the school and answer any questions you have.

5) If you are still interested in the program, make an appointment to observe a class in session. Don't be afraid to ask questions of the students and instructors after class. This step should help you determine what school "feels" the best to you.

6) Lastly, make your decision. Hopefully one school will stand out from the rest for you.

*HINT* - Different schools work for different people. Just because a school has high or low ratings, it doesn't necessarily mean that the school is good or bad. You need to evaluate the schools using your own criteria.

Massage School Selection Tips

Accreditation and recognition of the college is critical if you are seeking financial aid. If the college is not recognized then a student will not be able to receive any form of financial aid. Lack of recognition and accreditation in some areas may cause you to be ineligible for state licensing, although this is not a concern in Pennsylvania. Look for massage therapy colleges that are accredited by a reputable accreditation organization like COMTA. Accreditation guarantees that a massage therapy college is consistent with the highest standard of excellence in passing on the educational instruction.

The course schedule should be well suited with your schedule. A lot of the massage therapy colleges do not have courses for part-time students, if they do, the classes may be offered in the morning or evening. Plan on adjusting your schedule to when the college offers the courses.
