The Pennsylvania Institute of Massage Therapy, Inc. is licensed by the Pennsylvania State Board of Private Licensed Schools and is endorsed by several international lecturers of body work techniques such as Aaron Mattes and James Waslaski.
The Anatomy and Physiology Department is staffed by experienced Chiropractors. This ensures that the Massage Student has ready access to doctors who have acquired the off-hand knowledge of the body, and can answer questions accurately and present the information in a comfortable manner which is more easily understood by the student.
Director
Robert W. Tosh, D.C. has had a private practice in Quakertown since 1985. and was affiliated with the Pennsylvania College of Straight Chiropractic in Horsham, PA from 1985-1995. Through the Years Dr.Tosh had contributed on many capacities for the college serving as Director of Research, Faculty, Chairperson, Health Center Director, and Instructor.
Dr. Tosh holds a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the Pennsylvania College of Chiropractic, a Diploma in Thermography from the International Chiropractic Association, a Physiotherapy Certification from Parker Chiropractic College, a Certification in Disavility Impairment Ratings from Logan College and had been certified in Biofeedback Therapy.In addition Dr Tosh in a CPR and First Aid Instructor for the American Red Cross, has a Diploma in Chriopractic Orthopedics, an is a certified Neuromuscular Therapist.
Co-Director
Terry Ann Tosh serves as Co-Director. As such she is responsible for much of the day to day operation of the school. Terry brings a vast wealth of knowledge having not only attained her licensing/certification but also having studies in the firld of Orthopedic Massage, Active Isolated Stretching, Myotherapy, Reflexognosy, Aromatherapy, NMT, and Nutrition. Terry has a wealth of experience in the fields of administration and sales and is a certified instructor for the American red Cross as a CPR and First Aid Instructor.
Terry is currently Serving as President of the Pennsylvania Massage Therapy Association (PaMTA) and worked along side the American Massage Therapy Association to Massage Licensure in the state of Pennsylvania. She recieved an award for the work she has done in the licensing effort. Terry was the first Certified Orthopedic Massage Therapist in the state of Pennsylvania.
