Hi, I don't know if you have your question answered or not, but Texas does require you to be liscensed. You must complete a 500 hour course in a state accredited school, pass the jurisprudence exam online, clear a criminal background search and pass either of the two major state board exams (MBLEX or NCBTMB). I work at a school in Houston.
