Massage Rent

For me, I don't pay massage therapists. They pay me rent. And then they collect 100% of their earnings. I charge $35/day x 5 days/wk. So if you do 1 massage per day, you've paid your rent more than likely!

As an employee they are not usually paid a salary. It's an hourly wage averaging $15.00 hour plus tips at the low end. Or, a 30%- 50% commission on on $60-$80 massages. And you won't be busy all the time. The real money is when you can continually bring in clients.

Massage Therapy Profession

Unfortunately, there are many non-therapists who don't understand that massage therapists deserve to be paid salary and not treated as dispensable hourly employees. The problem with high rental is that it degrades the profession and the therapists themselves who work in a physically demanding career. If they are continued to be paid low hourly wages for a work week that rarely topples 20 hours..you will be left with a group thoughtless factory-line massages that provide little relief for you or anyone else for that matter.
