Massage Pricing and Coupons

Basically, I set my massage rate per hour, half hour and one and one half hour in accordance with what others in the area are charging.

One consideration, though, is that I will offer a lower price if the person is ill and needs mostly comfort from the massage. In a couple of cases, I was happy to work on people who had terminal illnesses, and money was not the most important thing to me in these cases. I even traveled to the home of a person who was dying from cancer at her children's request. My objective was to make her comfortable and have her enjoy an hour where she could forget her illness and concerns.

Also, I used to mail out coupons occasionally, which I printed up on my computer. They were always well-received.

I tried not to get into discounts for certain age groups, as I experienced that at a spa where I worked and found that the work was just as much for me, and yet, I was receiving less on these discounts, specifically for the elderly.
