Massage Interviews

The interview process depends on the spa/place and what you are also looking for. I went for one interview and the owner simply asked me about my experience and what types of massage I could do. I later gave a massage treatment to the owner as part of the interview. I was hired at that job.

Another time, I called a spa to ask about their employment ad in the paper. Over the phone, the owner would not discuss payment at all. I didn't even bother to go over and meet with her. I think it's reasonable to expect an over-the-phone answer to what the percentage would be that I would receive for each treatment.

I don't think it's too revealing to say 50% or 40%, etc....to the possible future employee in a phone conversation. Obviously each spa sets their rate and it's pretty standard.
