Massage insurance NOT necessary
by Jane
(Mansfield, MA)
I never purchased insurance, because when the topic came up at our massage school, one of the teachers let us know that it wasn't really, really necessary. I guess depending on the type of massage you are doing, you can make an appropriate decision for yourself. In my case, unless I was thinking that it was possible that someday I would break someone's rib or something, there was no need for it. I mostly would do Swedish massage, which is comforting. I have also done sports and deep tissue, but still, in no way would I endanger a person. I think the insurance is unnecessary, and just another expense for the insurance companies to get rich.
