In order to advertise my business, I donate gift certificates to any local raffles. Generally, the product sells itself, but it can be difficult to get people to try it. A gift certificate is the perfect was to insure clients will try your service. Also, the donations are wonderful gesture of goodwill and can give your practice a good reputation in the community (and also a tax deduction).

I do this routinely but don't seem to ever see the certificates used. :/ I'm going to start making my gift certificates into gift cards the size of business cards and see how that might help if they end up keeping it in their wallet or purse they may be more likely to be reminded to use it when they need a massage.
