Keep them coming back
by Jan
(Mansfield, MA)
I learned early on, to give special attention to each client. Although the therapist should be quiet during the treatment, I remember to ask about family, job, etc...when the time is right.
Also, listening is important. If you don't address the specific reason that they came in for, they may not want to come back.
Always being concerned and polite goes a long way. I have actually worked with other therapists and witnessed them acting less than professional.
