How can you be so young and know what you want to do?

I am a teenager now and i know for sure what i want to do when im older, i have wanted to be a massage therapist since i was seven years of age. People often say your to young to know what your going to do well what i say to those people is maybe im not to young really you don't need a certain age to love doing something. I plan to persue this dream when im older and hopefully become very succesful at it. But i have only one question what age do you have to be to start trainning to be a massage therapist.?

Hey rebecca, its good to hear that you know what you want to be!! You sound very passionate and im sure u'll be a great massage therapist oneday..um well to answer your question..im not sure because i live in the u.s.a and you have to be 18 to take your license exam! But you can still go through the formal training before that age! Hi how are you. I agree with you i believe you can know what you want to do when you are young because i've wanted to be a massage therapist since i was 8 :) its amazing i love everything about and i have had thoughts about being other things but massage therephy captured my heart the most. And i have all the qualities. For it and i'm sure you do as well. If it was a dream fo yours since you were 7. Good luck with your dream and don't let anyone tell you diffrernt :)

In Hawaii I am called Kahuna Lomilomi. I practice the art of Hawaiian healing. My training began at the tender age of 4 years old and continued for over a dozen years. I have been in private practice for thirty seven years and counting.

So one can never be too young or too old to begin to learn anything. I am still learning today and will never stop learning. You go girl!

Follow your dream

I've wanted to be a massage therapist since I was 7 or 8 also. It's always been what I really wanted to do and in a few months I'm going to attend college for it. I'm 18 and doing what I've dreamed of :) You should definitely go for it and never let anyone discourage you. It's a great career and if you have a passion for it now then it could be a job you'll love doing until retirement. Good Luck!
