Giving Up my National Certification

I am sorry to do it but I cannot continue with my national recertification. The requirement that I have only approved instructors has been too limiting and I cannot use many continuing education units I received in 2006 before the new rule about approved educators went into effect.

I found the requirements for Self Directed Education options too cumbersome. I have a busy practice, a family and I feel it was too much to ask to find approved instructors. I cannot afford to travel to find them and I have plenty of options for quality continuing education within my state but these instructors are not "approved" by the NCBTMB.

I was proud to state my association with this program for the last 8 years but I feel it is too difficult to meet their criteria.
