Definitely Deep Tissue
by LM
(California)
I have found that deep tissue massage is not only the most effective technique, but it is also the most appreciated by my clients. It takes a lot of practice to develop the skills and feel for deep tissue massage, but it is fun and you will really feel like you are making a difference when you use it. It is definitely one of the techniques that you will need to be able to get jobs and maintain clients.
I have also been reading and starting to try a technique called trager, which helps clients to stop causing new stresses on muscles due to prior injuries. It is interesting and has helped me to have better conversations while working with clients, and they have enjoyed it so far.
