Good school but male students be carefull

I am an alumni of Cortiva institute and while i did enjoy going to school, getting the training and having the 'brand' of school behind my certificate i must inform you that they were not completely honest about how a male student will have to be realistic and have to work much harder to find a job. I graduated in the top of my class, and recently have had to take a non massage job because more than half of the places i have applied at for massage therapy have been looking for female only or female preferred. If you ask the school they will say it is all about the technique and deny that there is a difference in hiring potential between a female and a male, when the reality is that there is a huge difference. 3 years later, i am not working in the field and have a huge debt to pay off and the school does not care and only has told me i need to work on my 'technique'. If you are a male student, please know that this is not the easiest career for a man and you will be discriminated and turned down for work a lot! Just be carefull, because Cortiva will not tell you the truth about the male massage therapist struggles in the real business world. Do your research.
